2013-03-15

All EuropeanaPhotography partners met  on March 13, 14 and 15 in Athens for the 3rd Plenary meeting and the Aggregation workshop.

Day 1 consisted of a technical session were the content providers were trained on the use of MINT, the web platform developed by the National Technical University of Athens for the mapping, ingestion and aggregation of content for Europeana. Many topics were discussed in days 2 and 3 in the Plenary meeting: the Rights Labelling Campaign, i.e. the Europeana position on the status of the content rights in the European portal, was illustrated by Julia Fallon, IPR and Policy advisor at Europeana; the positive results of the first project review were also illustrated and discussed within the consortium; then, the progresses of each work package (content selection, digitisation, multilingualism, aggregation, sustainability and dissemination) and the objectives of the second year were illustrated by the leaders.

The consortium will meet again in September in Vilnius, within the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
