20th Century in photographs

Hundreds of images from the EURO-Photo project are now available in Europeana. They belong to the archives of nine European news agencies who participated in the EURO-Photo project. The images are available both on Europeana and the project’s commercial portal (www.europhoto.eu.com), the world’s first historical photo journalism site. Spanning the 20th century, these photographs, many of which have never been seen before, are from events that shaped history — news, politics, sport, culture, entertainment and daily life.
