From 1 February to 15 March 2015, the EuropeanaPhotography expo All Our Yesterdays (1839 — 1939). Life through the lens of Europe’s first photographers will be visiting Belgium’s Campus Library Arenberg - Heverlee and Tweebronnen Library - Leuven.

Fix the date! On 11 April 2014 the EuropeanaPhotogrphy exhibition "All Our Yesterdays (1839-1939), Life through the lens of Europe's first photographers" opens in Pisa at Museo della Grafica, Palazzo Lanfranchi.

The little things of life: Britain as seen by John Topham


TopFoto gained the Top in its name from photographer John Topham. In 1973 the managing partner of TopFoto, Alan Smith, bought the life work of 122,000 negatives from Mr. Topham, his near neighbour. Building on the Topham collection with subsequent acquisitions TopFoto now has an estimated hardcopy archive of 10 million pictures.

The UK Royal Photographic Society has put all of its journals online for free (from 1853 to 2012).
The RPS Journal first appeared in March 1853 and it has been published continuously ever since. The Journal is the world's oldest photographic periodical and has reported Society activities as well as general events in the wider world of photography.
